ProxyCast is a proximity marketing system developed by Personal Networks. ProxyCast delivers multimedia content to mobile phones of consumers in its coverage area.

The delivered content can range from text or still images to audio, video or even Java applications. This content can be viewed on the phone screen right after delivery.

ProxyCast is comprised of a small server that runs the specialized software developed by Personal Networks. This system can be deployed in a wide range of locations, for example: poster sites or digital billboards, shopping centers, entertainment venues, bars and clubs, train stations or airport lounges, and so on.

ProxyCast uses Bluetooth, the worldwide standard platform for short-range wireless data transfers, which enables it to transfer messages up to 10 times fasters than through cellular networks (using GPRS or 3G, for example). Since Bluetooth transfers are completely independent of the cellular network operators, ProxyCast messages are free of charge for the consumer.

ProxyCast uniquely identifies each Bluetooth-enabled handset which allows it to send a customized message to each consumer. Our system can be tailored for each campaign so that the consumer receives only those messages relevant to them.
